Dr. Felix Kaputu, formerly a professor in the DRC, was forced to leave his country after he was persecuted by the authorities. They accused him of going to Japan to buy weapons to support the rebels planning a coup against the government.  He’d gone there to study.

He was arrested and forced to make a confession. There was no evidence. There was no formal charge. He was coerced to confess something he never did.

Now he works as a professor at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, USA.

He shared his story in September in The Hague.
